Classification and Properties of Beryllium Copper and Its Usefulness and Properties

It can be divided into processing beryllium bronze and forging beryllium bronze. Commonly used forged beryllium bronze are copper-2Be-0.5Co-0.3Si, copper-2.6Be-0.5Co-0.3Si, copper-0.5Be-2.5Co, etc. The content of beryllium in processed beryllium bronze can be controlled as follows: 0.3% nickel or 0.3% cobalt in domestic beryllium bronze. The commonly used processing beryllium bronze are: Cu-2Be-0.3Ni, Cu-1.9Be-0.3Ni-0.2Ti, etc. Beryllium bronze is a heat treatment strengthening alloy. Processing beryllium bronze is important as a variety of high-grade elastic components, especially those requiring superior conductive properties, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, cold resistance, non-magnetic components. It is widely used as diaphragm box, diaphragm, bellows, micro-switches and so on. Forged beryllium bronze is used for explosion-proof objects, various dies, bearings, bushes, bushes, gears and various electrodes. Beryllium oxides and dust are harmless to human body. We should pay attention to their protection in production and application.

Beryllium copper is a kind of alloy with superior mechanical, physical and chemical properties. After quenching and tempering, it has high strength, elasticity, wear resistance, fatigue resistance and heat resistance. At the same time, beryllium copper has high conductivity, thermal conductivity, cold resistance and non-magnetism. It has no spark when bumping, is easy to weld and braze, and has excellent corrosion resistance in atmosphere, salt water and fresh water. The corrosion resistance rate of beryllium-copper alloy in fresh water is (1.1-1.4)*10-2 mm/year. Depth of decay: (10.9-13.8)*10-3 mm/year.
