Manganese has higher solubility in solid brass. The strength and corrosion resistance of the alloy can be improved obviously by adding 1%-4% manganese in brass, but its plasticity can not be reduced. Manganese brass has (alpha+beta) structure. HMn58-2 is commonly used. It has good pressure processing properties under cold and hot conditions. Iron brass: In iron brass, iron precipitates as iron-rich particles to refine grains as nuclei and prevent recrystallization grain growth, thereby improving the mechanical and technological properties of the alloy. Iron content in iron brass is 1.5% as follows on weekdays. Its structure is (alpha + beta). It has high strength and toughness. It has good plasticity at low temperature and can be deformed in cold state. The commonly used brand is Hfe59-1-1.
